Production for the first installment of a planned trilogy Integrity, directed and wrote by Hong Kong director Alan Mak, officially ended on 24 July 2018 and the film is upcoming soon.

The leading female role was played by Karena Lam and her co-star in this film were Sean Lau and Nick Cheung. Starring cast members also include Alex Fong, Michelle Wai, Carlos Chan, Kathy Yuen and Anita Yuen who joined as a guest appearance.

The film revolves around an ICAC case involving the selling of smuggled cigarettes. It was the second cooperation between Sean and Nick after their collaboration in the film The White Storm. They ‘competed’ with each other from the first day of filming. Nick said, “It is so lucky that once we meet, we then start competing, but what I mean is playing snooker!” Even in the movie, their competition also continued as both of them had lots of scenes with Karena. In this film, Karena and Sean portray a couple. “Actually, Karena once took a role as my mother in my childhood in another movie. This time, she was just chasing me, so we had many scenes together regarding the chase plot.” For this point, Sean joked, “Nick had more interaction with ‘my wife’ in this film than me.”

Sean also revealed that director Alan helped him a lot with the preparation for his role as an ICAC investigator by providing him research information and introducing him to former ICAC agents, which enabled him to have a better understanding of the duty as an ICAC member.
It is noted that Carlos and Kathy missed the opportunity of portraying as a couple again. “Although we cannot be a couple in this film, we added some ambiguous eye contact. I am wondering if the director has noticed that,” said Kathy.
The film will be upcoming soon. The issue of illegal trafficking of cigarettes is about to arouse public attention.
