A new romantic movie named Fall in Love at First Kiss is scheduled to be released on 14th February. Starring Dalu Wang and Yun Lin, this film is directed by Yushan Chen, who is also the director of Our Times. Today, a video marking the “X-Change of Zhishu Jiang” is released, which reconstructs the behind-the-scenes story of the film in a humourous way. Dalu Wang became well known in 2015 after he starred as Xu Taiyu in Chen’s Our Times, and his “bad boy” image has been deeply rooted in the minds of the audience ever since. Four years later, Wang starred in Chen’s romantic movie once again, but his role had a dramatic change – he now played the young genius, Zhishu Jiang. How can the guy with a strong bad boy image transform into a straight-A student? According to Chen, “With Dalu Wang starring as Zhishu Jiang, we will definitely bring more surprise to the audience.”
It is said that Ms. Chen met many “icy young men” when she held the audition for the role “Zhishu Jiang”, but she did not find anyone who resembled the character until Dalu Wang stood in front of Yun Lin, who was then auditioning for “Xiangqin”. Chen and other team members then discarded their deep-rooted impression and realised that “Dalu Wang can also be Zhishu Jiang, and that he is capable of rendering an icy genius”.

In order to better present the sweet love between Zhishu and Xiangqin, Yushan Chen also followed the costumes in the original work, trying to create a refreshing style. She invited the designer for the Japanese girl group AKB48 to design the uniform for the film. When Dalu Wang put on the costume of Zhishu Jiang, Chen exclaimed, “He really feels like Zhishu Jiang now!” To better perform this role, Wang also did a lot of preparation before filming. He not only attended to the appearance but also read the original comics, watched relevant films about geniuses and even learned to solve the difficult math problem in the film.
As a school hunk who is popular among girls, Zhishu Jiang not only specialises in solving math problems but also possesses many talents, such as playing tennis, rowing and doing handicrafts for Xiangqin. Dalu Wang learned all of these skills and eventually met all the expectations of the director. “Every scene is very important to me. I’ll do my best to perform Zhishu Jiang and won’t let anyone down,” said Wang. Gradually turning into “Zhishu Jiang”,Dalu Wang is definitely going to impress the audience in the film.
